Tom studied at Leeds University before transferring and graduating from Middlesex in 2001 with a degree in English.  After several years in the pharmaceutical industry, he then completed his PGCE at the university of Reading.

He has held several leadership roles within the trust including deputy headteacher and headteacher. He has also served as headteacher of another school outside RET and worked for several years in a Home Office unit tackling knife crime amongst young people.

Much of Tom's school leadership has been in teaching, learning and CPD. As a result,  he is passionate about leading our SCITT alongside school improvement work with other schools inside and outside our trust.

Tom lives in Newbury with his wife and two sons.  He enjoys running and all things sport-related.
